Will it work on your vehicle?

All pieces in this bundle use high-strength neodymium magnets that bond directly to steel body panels. The fastest way to check is to try a kitchen magnet on your vehicle. Generally speaking, magnets work with all vehicles that are not made of aluminum — Land Rovers and new Ford Broncos have aluminum bodies, so the magnets won't attach to those.

Not sure if your vehicle is compatible? Select your vehicle make and model, or try the 10-second kitchen magnet test. Check compatibility.

Board and upgrade compatibility

Which recovery boards are compatible? The quick-release pins in this bundle are designed specifically for Max Trax MK2 and LITE. They will not fit ARB/TRED boards — if you use TRED boards, check our TRED + Awning bundle instead.

Already own the classic (non-quick-release) version? You can upgrade to quick-release pins without replacing your magnets. Check our upgrade kit.

The original. Invented here.

Tactic Engineering invented the magnetic vehicle mount. Designed and prototyped in Switzerland, stress-tested on the road, first units shipped in December 2021. Every magnetic mount on the market today came after ours.

Designed, produced and hand-assembled in Switzerland

Every piece in this bundle is built by hand in Tegna, Switzerland using carbon fiber reinforced nylon and advanced SLS 3D printing. Components are printed at 270°C, meaning they withstand extremely high temperatures before deforming. The material costs €100/kg — this is not cheap plastic.

Fabrication method

Our products are created using advanced 3D printing technology with the highest quality materials available. Due to the nature of this production method, there may be minor imperfections such as visible layers or slight waviness in the material. We carefully separate any items with noticeable defects and only ship those that meet our quality standards. These are not plastic injection molded pieces.
