BAJA SHOCK BRACE BRACKET [VAN COMPASS]
Trusted by the industry

The Sprinter's factory upper rear shock bolt is single shear. Without reinforcement on both sides of the upper shock bushing, the bolt carries a cyclical bending load. Over long miles of washboard the bolt can stretch or loosen and eventually yield where it enters the threaded bung on the chassis. The Baja Bracket captures both sides of the upper shock bushing and removes that fulcrum effect. A machined tubular brace spreads the load into the frame rail.
Laser cut and CNC formed from 4.8 mm (3/16 in) steel. Fixture welded. Powder coated.
FITMENT
Mercedes Sprinter 2500, NCV3 (906) and VS30 (907), 2007 onwards.
Will NOT fit NCV3 vans with the headlight levelling option. This is an uncommon option. Check before ordering.
Check for plumbing or wiring routed through the spring hanger area before ordering. Some converted vans route services that interfere with the bracket.
SHOCK COMPATIBILITY — READ BEFORE ORDERING
Van Compass designed this bracket around Van Compass specified Falcon shocks. Their installation sheet 3063-INST states that fitment is not guaranteed with other suspension configurations.
The stainless shock spacer supplied in the kit measures 7.2 mm wide with a 14.5 mm bore (.284 in x .570 in ID). That dimension is matched to Falcon bushing widths.
If your shock has an offset bushing, the spacer is not used. If it does not, the spacer installs between the chassis and the shock.
OEM and other aftermarket shocks use different bushing widths. They may require a spacer of a different width, which is not supplied in this kit. Measure your shock bushing width before ordering. If it does not match 7.2 mm, contact us before you buy and we will tell you what we know about your combination.
INSTALLATION
Manufacturer's stated time: 45 minutes to 1.5 hours in a workshop, 1 to 2 hours on a driveway.
Tools required: jack and axle stands, 17 mm, 18 mm, 21 mm and 22 mm sockets, torque wrench, drill with a 10.8 mm (27/64 in) metal bit, paint scraper or chisel. Factory chassis adhesive must be removed at the mounting face. This is a documented step, not a fault.
IN THE BOX
2 x spacer bung (306302). 4 x front spacer plate, 3.2 mm (306303). 2 x stainless shock spacer (56-09-03-056-3-1). Bracket set and mounting hardware.
Most vans use a single 3.2 mm front spacer plate per side, tapped into place to close the gap.
